Born on the 6th Jan 1975, Essentially from a farming family, Manpreet is deeply rooted in the ground realities and can be truly called a son of the soil. Starting as a farmer, he ventured into property business as he realized that the peasantry (basic-land owners) was literally being used by the corporate houses to launch themselves into still greater heights.



Manpreet began his public life as President Co-operative Society, Ayali Khurd. Later, he got elected as Sarpanch from, his native village, then he became member of Zila Parishad Ludhiana. His strong determination, staunch faith in his abilities, love of the masses kept him buoyant. In the year 2008 he was unanimously elected Chairman, Zila Parishad, Ludhiana as the youngest incumbent. It was this designation that gave him a celebrity-status and soon he became the most sought after face. He was either making a speech as a chief guest, inaugurating events and places or being spotted in the lead socio-politico roles. He added yet another feather to his illustrious career cap when he got appointed as member of Punjab Pollution Control Board and Member State Health Planning & Monitoring Committee.



As Chairman Zila Parishad Ludhiana, Manpreet is working religiously to lend grace to his assignment. It is in this capacity that Manpreet has been able to raise funds worth crores not only from the governments at the centre and state levels but also from the World Bank.
