Youth are future of the society. They are future nation builders. Today youth from rural areas are grouping in the darkness and they are direction less. There is strong leadership gap among them. Due to this vacuum youth is indulging in lot of wrong practices like addiction of drugs, low motivation, useless agitations, etc. They are facing lack of gainful employment which is responsible for growing frustration among them which further is leading to anti social activities. S. Manpreet Singh Ayali, who himself is a young dynamic leader, has felt strong necessity for a society which can fulfill their genuine aspiration. He has established Youth Welfare Society (Dakha).
The main objective of the society is to create drug free environment, promote sports among the youth, career counseling of the youth and creation of gainful employment or self employment opportunities, organization of sports tournaments in various disciplines of sports with special focus on Kabbadi, etc. The society shall take special care to identify the talented players and nurture them to international level.
This society was founded on Feb 2010. The society under the able guidance of S. Manpreet Singh Ayali aims to construct stadiums in the villages where people are organizing regular tournaments from last 15 years or more. Work has started in the right earnest with start of construction of stadium at village Pandori, Baddowal. These stadiums shall have all the basic amenities like water supply, toilets, stage, seating arrangement etc. Gyms equipped with modern exercising machines and equipments shall also be provided to every village where youth is ready to take the responsibility of running the Gym in proper manner.
The society aims to organize free medical check up camps in the villages. The camps are already being organized since the inception of society.
